Paint Out at Glen Arbor
The Glen Arbor Paint Out 2013, a one-day event, was held this past Saturday, August 3. The weather was lovely, and not too hot this year. Portraying the architectural details of the old coast guard building took most of the available time. This day's adventure, and plein air painting is nearly always an adventure, included surviving an easel "blow over". After recovering my brushes, palette knives and paint tubes that had been strewn about on the beach, I was able to pick most of the sand grains out of the painting surface. A few may yet remain on the sand portion of the painting. A souvenir of authenticity perhaps?
