"House with a View"
Plein Air Painting in Brighton
The first ever Brighton (Michigan) Paint Out was held last Saturday, July 20. The weather was delightful and there was an abundance of appealing scenery for the participating artists. I did manage to do two paintings. The second of the two, “House with a View”, is shown here.
Painting outdoors is always an adventure and this time conditions were ideal. As I was packing up my painting gear at the end of the day, I looked once more at the house and a white swan was gliding by in the scene I had just painted. Wow! There was not enough time left to include the swan. Perhaps, if I had, no one would believe that the swan was rally there anyway.
